This trail is located approximately one mile from the refuge office at Pool A. The Woodland Pond Trail is one mile in length, and passes through wetlands, upland pine, and a small open area. It loops around Pool A, so you'll return to where you've parked. This is a good trail for viewing songbirds.

The Molly’s Rock Picnic Area, built on the site of an old homestead, is located near a massive granite boulder known locally as Molly’s Rock. The origin of this name is uncertain because there are several different accounts of its source. The picnic shelter was constructed by the Civilian Conservation Corps (CCC) sometime between 1936 and 1942.

Open year round at no charge to its visitors, Burrells Ford is a nice choice for camping along the Chattooga River. This is a short hike that takes campers from the parking area to the campground.
