This best-selling, pedestrian-centric village, is renowned for its miles of trails and over 500 acres of open space and parks. A natural surface trail system located in and around Baxter Village in Fort Mill, SC with 15+ miles of natural surface trails. Home to 3.3 miles of Carolina Thread Trail. Hikers, Bikers, Runners, Walkers, Geocachers are always welcome.
The Baxter Village Trail system is nestled in a neighborhood of Fort Mill, which lies on the northern border of South Carolina (Charlotte, North Carolina, is just over the state line). The trails have mainly a natural surface and are moderately hilly. They wind through wooded areas, cross a few quiet residential streets, and offer views of small streams. A highlight of the Baxter Village River Trail is an observation deck overlooking the Catawba River.

Directions:From Charlotte: Take Exit 85 on Interstate 77, turn right on South Carolina 160, take the first left onto Market Street, turn right onto Springmaid Avenue, turn right onto 2nd Baxter Crossing and then turn left into the parking lot of the public library.
From Rock Hill: Take Exit 85 on Interstate 77, turn left on South Carolina 160, cross Interstate 77, take the first left onto Market Street, turn right onto Springmaid Avenue, turn right onto 2nd Baxter Crossing and then turn left into the parking lot of the public library.
Parking is available near the east end of the trail at 1712 1st Baxter Crossing, Fort Mill.
