Summary:
This is a great multi-use trail within Clemson Experimental Forest that is provides a fast downhill mountain bike ride towards Lake Issaqueena.
The Dam Road Trail is located in the Lawrence Chapel Division of Clemson Experimental Forest. Starting at the gate to the left of the parking lot, enter the trail to the right (of the gate) that follows the road. Stay right the whole time, until you come to Summer Rain, and take a right, followed by an immediate uphill left, and stay left once in the pines. When you come to the clearing, take the right, and the trail becomes Pine Tree Loop 1, which will put you out onto Dam Rd. Follow down to reach the dam, or up to go back to the main parking lot.
This Clemson Experimental Forest trail is maintained with the help of the Greater Clemson Mountain Bikers Club.
Hours: Dawn till dusk
Directions:From the junction of US 123 and SC 133 in Clemson: Drive north on SC 133 for 3.4 miles and turn left. Continue on SC 133 and turn left onto Old Six Mile Hwy. The parking area is shortly after Old Six Mile Road turns into East Dam Road.
