Rock Hill's Emmett Scott Center offers many recreational features including a paved walking trail, playground, picnic shelter, outdoor basketball court, handicap accessible pool, gymnasium, as well as McGirt Auditorium.
The Emmett Scott Center includes a 10.3-acre park with great features such as a walking path, playground, outdoor basketball court, gymnasium and McGirt Auditorium. Emmett Scott is also home to one of Rock Hill’s four public swimming pools which offer free swimming lessons in the summer. The picnic shelter and pool are available to rent for group functions.
This park is also a short distance from downtown Rock Hill, Friedheim Park and Arcade Park. This park connects to a marked Park to Park Bike Route.
Hours: 7 a.m. to 11 p.m.
Office Hours: Monday through Thursday 2 to 8 p.m.; Friday 2 to 6 p.m.; Saturday 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Directions:The Emmett Scott Trail is located behind the recreation center near the playground and picnic shelter.
