Lake City Park — is the new beautiful park nestled in the heart of Lake City, Florence County, South Carolina. The park offers an excellent boardwalk surrounding an eight-acre lake featuring a flowing fountain.
Created from an old landfill site, old sewer plant and swamp area, the 55+ acreage has been transformed into a haven for the public to enjoy the tranquility of an over eight-acre lake featuring a flowing fountain, surrounded by a boardwalk and walking trail. For those who wish to sit and relax, benches and swings dot the landscape; along with a gazebo over the water, providing a place to enjoy the view of the trees, wildlife and flowering plants.
The park grounds are welcoming to persons wishing to hike, go fishing or canoe/kayaking. Stop and enjoy a cookout at the community building or listen to the occasional musical groups providing a variety of sounds.
