A dirt trail starting from a third parking area on Fork Shoals road features a series of loops through this wetland area and boardwalks to cross water covered areas.
Lake Conestee Nature Park currently offers approximately six miles of natural surface trails, six miles of paved trails and approximately 4,000 linear feet of boardwalks and bog-walks.
During your hike, or ride, you may encounter a variety of animals, including whitetail deer, beaver, muskrat, raccoon, river otter, and read and grey fox. A number of bird species also make their home here, such as the great blue heron, green heron, egret, and a variety of songbirds.
