Loretta C. Wood Park is the southern most park in Greenville County and provides baseball fields, a playground, restrooms, as well as a nice and paved walking path.
Loretta C. Wood Park is the southern most park in Greenville County and serves a semi rural, yet rapidly growing area. It is part of a 240 acre site that County Rec purchased almost 15 years ago realizing that shifting population trends would bring future demands for recreational services. The park opened in 2008 and is named after the late Loretta Wood, a long time community activist well known for her volunteer efforts with the Dunklin Fire Department and Ellen Woodside Elementary School. The park offers baseball fields, a playground, restrooms, as well as a nice and paved walking path.
