From Martins Landing, go south on the Edisto River for a 3-4 hour float by canoe. You will pass through a forest of bottomland hardwoods, which provide a beautiful, scenic float in the fall. You may hear and see a variety of birds, possibly see nesting ospreys and eagles.
Tide is 3-4 hours behind the Charleston Harbor. Insect repellent is recommended during the warm months.

Mile 0 - Martin’s Landing - From US 17 at Parkers Ferry, drive north on Parkers Ferry Road (Charleston County S-10-38) for 5.7 miles and turn left onto Martins Landing Road. The landing is at the end of the road.
Mile 13.2 - Westbank Landing - From US17 in Jacksonboro, drive south on Hope Plantation Road (Colleton County S-15-30) for 3.7 miles and turn left onto Beanstick Lane. The landing is at the end of the road.
