Summary:
This shared-use trail begins at the Park Center and runs into the Sulphur Springs trail. You will ride along the stream and pass by the CCC-built Amphitheatre where local music is hosted during the summer.
From Picnic Shelter 4, you can go either direction on this moderately difficult dirt trail. If you go to the right you will connect to the Lake Placid Trail, which encircles Lake Placid. You can ride to the lake, but not all the way around it. If you go left you will pass the amphitheater and continue to a junction with the Sulphur Springs Trail. You can ride a section of the Sulphur Springs Trail, but only to Mountain Lake.
If you are riding a mountain bike, be aware of signs reading "Foot Traffic Only." No mountain bikes on Saturday.
Restrooms are available at the picnic shelters. Insect repellant is recommended in warm weather. Trail may be slippery in wet weather. Pets are permitted on a leash.
