Summary:
Grab your bike or running shoes and enjoy setting your own pace as you meander through the natural terrain, the neighborhoods and the Savannah riverfront on the Greeneway Trail.
This flat, 7-mile paved greenway trail in North Augusta, meets a growing need for outdoor activities such as walking, biking, and running. It is adjacent to several residential areas and passes by the Riverview Park Activity Center. Named in honor of former North Augusta Mayor Thomas W. Greene, a five-mile segment of abandoned railway corridor was purchased by the City of North Augusta in November 1988 using municipal funds and a State Recreation Trails grant.
Hours: Dawn to dusk
Directions:The western terminus is located at Pisgah Road just off Five Notch Road. Limited parking is available at this location.
Parking and Greeneway access is also located near the Greeneway's eastern terminus off of Riverside Boulevard opposite the entrance drive to the River Golf Club.
