Summary:
The Patriots Point Trail provides picturesque opportunities for hiking, biking, and birdwatching. Features of the trail include a bird watching tower and a harbor deck providing an incredible panoramic view of the Harbor.
This flat easy walking, out and back, stone surface trial winds through a wooded area between ball fields and a golf course. Although the wooded area is narrow, it’s quiet and you may hear and see a variety of birds. Near the end you will leave the woods and cross over the south part of Patriot’s Point Boulevard. Once you reenter the woods it’s a short walk to the end, where you will find an observation tower overlooking the marsh.
Several spurs provide connection to ball fields. Dog waste bags are available near both ends of the trail.
Insect repellent is recommended during the warm months.
Hours: Dawn to dusk
Directions:From West Coleman Boulevard, drive south on Patriot’s Point Boulevard for approximately 0.2 mile and the small parking area is on the left (Opposite the Omar Shrine Temple).

Trail needs more tree-clearing and clean up due to Irma. Observation deck at end of trail gives a wonderful view of Charleston harbor.
