Summary:
Sedalia Lake is located in Union County and offers many recreational activities, incluidng, fishing, wildlife and plant observation, as well as hiking trails. The Sedalia Lake Trail also links up with the Enoree Passage of the Palmetto Trail.
The Enoree Ranger District offers seasonal campgrounds—Sedalia is one of these. These campgrounds have designated campsites in open areas surrounded by woods. The surrounding forest environment provides an opportunity for many recreational activities such as wildlife and plant observation, fishing, hiking and photography. Abundant wildlife populations provide some of the most desirable hunting areas in the upstate. The Sedalia Lake Trail follows Johns Creek and connects with the Enoree Passage of the Palmetto Trail, as well.
Sedalia is a primitive campground that has designated campsites in open areas surrounded by woods. Four single-family campsites and one group site are open year-round, fourteen day stay limit is in effect. A valid South Carolina fishing license is required to fish on the national forests. There are fees per night (or per calendar month) associated with all campsites.
Directions:Sedalia Lake is located two miles southeast of Cross Keys on FS Road 347—off Highway 18.
