Summary:
Built in 1973 and located at 200 Leisure Lane in the St. Andrews area, Seven Oaks Park (SOP) is a full-service recreation complex. This community park offers nine athletic fields, six tennis courts, paved walking paths, playgrounds, picnic shelters and a disc golf course.
You can start from the upper or lower parking area to access this flat, easy-walking paved trail. Starting from the parking area behind the recreation building, you will need to walk down the steps to start the trail. Turn either right or left to make a circuit of the perimeter of the park. You will pass soccer fields, pass through a shady wooded area, and follow Kinley Creek for a short distance where you can stop and just listen to the water and the birds. To extend your walk you can cross over Kinley Creek on spur that connects with the Whitehall Subdivision where you can walk on some quiet neighborhood streets.
There is also a disc golf course in the shaded area of the park and handicap access is from the lower parking area.
Hours: Dawn to dusk
Directions:From Exit 104 of I-26 (Piney Grove): Drive south on Piney Grove for approximately 1.5 miles. Just before the railroad tracks, turn left onto Leisure Lane and Seven Oaks Park is on the left. You can park in back of the recreation center, or continue past the park entrance to the next left and park in the lower parking area.
