Even though this trail is in a neighborhood, the wooded area on its border gives the illusion of being in a more secluded area.
Starting from the parking area in the park, you will circle the recreation complex on an easy walking loop trail, paved with a tire rubber surface. Even though this trail is in a neighborhood, the wooded area on its border gives the illusion of being in a more secluded area. You can extend your walk on an out and back spur section, where you will cross a short boardwalk and return at a loop in the parking area of Northside Middle School. Restrooms are available in the park and the trail is wheelchair accessible.

From the intersection of I-26 and US 378, drive east on US 378 (toward downtown Columbia) for approximately 0.8 mile and at the traffic light turn left onto Cougar Drive. The recreation area is at the end of the road.
