From the parking area, begin this unmarked, winding, wooded dirt trail with connecting footpaths throughout the park. You will cross numerous wooden footbridges and boardwalks as you explore this quiet, woodland and wetland habitat surrounded by neighborhood homes. You may see a variety of wildlife including birds, squirrels, snakes, and frogs.
Picnic tables and shelter are located near the parking area. No restrooms are available. Insect repellent is recommended in warm weather. Pets are permitted on a leash.
Hours: Dawn to dusk
Directions:In downtown Darlington, follow Pearl Street around the courthouse (one-way traffic circle) and turn right onto Cashau Street. Drive several blocks and turn left on Spring Street. Turn right into the parking area next to the picnic shelter. The trail kiosk with a map is located at the parking area.
