Wonders’ Way is the 2.7-mile bike/pedestrian path on the Arthur Ravenel Jr. Bridge, where you can enjoy views spanning from Folly Beach to the Isle of Palms. The 12’ wide path is named Wonders’ Way in memory of Garrett Wonders, a man who died in a bicycle-vehicle collision.
The Arthur Ravenel Jr. Bridge includes a shared bike/pedestrian path named Wonders’ Way in memory of Garrett Wonders—Wonders was killed during a bicycle-vehicle collision while training for the 2004 Olympic Trials.
The impressive path is easily accessible, and anyone is welcome to walk, jog, or bike across—offering stellar views that span from the Isle of Palms to Folly Beach. It is a must-see for Charleston enthusiasts to stop at the top for a unique bird’s eye view of Charleston Harbor.
Directions:Wonders’ Way is accessible from both ends of the bridge, but it is easier to park in Mount Pleasant at the Visitor Center. The Visitor Center is located almost directly beside the Arthur Ravenel, Jr. Bridge and includes several parking areas, a fishing pier and restrooms.
