Caesars Head State Park Update
Caesars Head restrooms and overlook are OPEN from 9 a.m. to sunset. Trail access is hike at your own risk. The only trails currently open are: Wildcat Wayside, Frank Coggins, Raven Cliff (to the overlook), Dismal Trail (not the loop), Tom Miller, and Gum Gap. Trails are open from 9 a.m. until 6:30 p.m. All other trails remain closed.

Closures Due To Wildfire Activity
Table Rock State Park, Caesars Head State Park, and Sassafras Mountain Overlook are closed due to wildfire activity along with their trail systems.

Summary:
After a couple short but steep climbs you will meet up with the Coldspring Branch Trail.
The Coldspring Connector trail crosses a small stream, and then a short but steep climb before it descends to your first crossing of Coldspring Branch. After another short climb you will meet up with the Coldspring Branch Trail where you will turn right to head back down to the Jones Gap Trail.

Directions:Drive north from Caesar's Head State Park on highway 276. After 1.1 miles there's a parking lot on the right. The entrance is at the far end. Park. Walk back up highway 276 toward the park headquarters for about 0.1 miles until you come to a gated road on the left. There's a sign that says "Coldspring Branch Loop". The trail follows that road.
