Caesars Head State Park Update
Caesars Head restrooms and overlook are OPEN from 9 a.m. to sunset. Trail access is hike at your own risk. The only trails currently open are: Wildcat Wayside, Frank Coggins, Raven Cliff (to the overlook), Dismal Trail (not the loop), Tom Miller, and Gum Gap. Trails are open from 9 a.m. until 6:30 p.m. All other trails remain closed.

Closures Due To Wildfire Activity
Table Rock State Park, Caesars Head State Park, and Sassafras Mountain Overlook are closed due to wildfire activity along with their trail systems.

The Frank Coggins Trail begins across US 276 from the Park's headquarters, heads northeast away from US 276, then turns and heads southeast back to the highway. Directions:From Greenville: Drive northwest on US 276 to Caesars Head State Park. From the parking area, walk straight across US 276 to the Frank Coggins Trail (purple blaze).

My sister and I hiked this trail today and it was a very pleasant trail with a fair amount of uphill although not very steep. There were 2 nice small waterfalls but we never saw any "boardwalk" as mentioned in the description nor the bridge shown on the pictures. Very nice though and will definitely do this one again.
